DEBIAS Workshop and Symposium 2026

We are welcoming applications for the next DEBIAS Workshop and Symposium: Setting standards for bias-adjusted digital mobility data, taking place on the 7th and 8th of July 2026 at the University of Liverpool, UK.

What is DEBIAS?

DEBIAS is a project focused on improving the quality, transparency and usability of digitally collected mobility data. As data from mobile phones and digital platforms are increasingly used in research, policy and operational decision-making, questions of bias, representativeness, validation and transparency are becoming ever more important.

More information can be found here: DEBIAS project information

This two-day event will bring together researchers, national statistical offices, industry partners and international organisations, including IOM - UN Migration, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the Instituto Nacional de Estadistica (INE), to explore how we can move from recognising these challenges towards practical standards and solutions for bias-adjusted mobility data.
